Who: Kahlan and Chris When: Day 11 Where: near the spell anchor What: arriving Warnings: TBA
Kahlan was completely confused. One minute, she was standing there with Zedd, while he was going to put that spell on that Cara Mason woman. Kahlan knew it was imperative, Richard had been taken by Darken Rahl, who had the power of the Boxes of Orden, which is what Richard had had. Kahlan didn't know how things could have all unraveled so quickly. Everything had been fine, for a whole year. She was wishing to have that back when the Mord'Sith came, and killed this Cara woman with a bow and arrow. Kahlan had been scared, and she'd been wanting Richard. She closed her eyes and wished herself someplace else.
Now, she was somewhere. It was hard to tell exactly where. It was wilderness, at least that was something she was used to. But as she looked around, Kahlan was sure that she wasn't in the Midlands anymore. She started to cry a little, which is something that she didn't do very often. It was not something that the Mother Confessor, who was now married to the Seeker of Truth, did. They were the arbiters of all that was good and true and law in the Midlands. They got to make the rules. Now, she was somewhere that could most likely not even be the Midlands anymore, and she wasn't with Richard. That was the part that was really tripping her up. She and Richard had finally been able to be together. She ran her hands through her long dark hair. It still felt good, and she was glad that she hadn't cut it when she'd wanted to. Richard had never known about long hair in the Midlands being a bad thing, and he had told her that he loved her hair.
Was she dead? Was she in the Underworld? This was all too much to think about. She had to figure out how to get home.
