Game In Review: October 15 - October 30, 1997 (2009)
Due to Dena!mod being sick and my work being made of fail this week, the recap is a little stranger than usual. Particularly the 15-17, because I waited too long and so those responses outnumber the number I can go back to and view on the mod account friends page. I've gotten the logs for those days, but sadly none of the journal entries listed here. Everything else should be normal, though. If you're catching up or are new to the game and need our most recent info, I definitely suggest looking over the 21st - 27th, as that will provide a pretty good summary of the recent attack on the Ministry, Dumbledore's death, and the current situation with the wizarding world and Trio!

Later, the Order, tricked by Dumbledore into believing Hogarts was in danger, uselessly assembles at Hogwarts and they and the DA take steps to defend it. The real attack, however, was planned against the Ministry. Death Eaters attack and kill many, including the Minister of Magic. Meanwhile, the Trio arrives at the Ministry (after Harry had a bad day already) to steal Gryffindor's Sword, and are attacked by Snape. Many students and adults are anxious for news of loved ones. Students also respond to the news about the Ministry and the news that the Trio was at the Ministry during the attacks, either siding for Harry or against him. Dumbledore's death shocks many and shakes the Order. At Hogwarts, Julien attempts to comfort Alfie. Meanwhile, Death Eaters gloat.
Oct 25: The Daily Prophet reports the appointment of Pius Thicknesse as Minister of Magic, and lists those killed in the battle at the Ministry. Students and adults continue to respond to the death of Dumbledore, the attack at the Ministry, and the apparent hunt for the Trio. Meanwhile, Draco attempts to figure out what happened, and warns Slytherins to keep their mouths shut. Pansy follows suit. Hermione manages an owl to Ginny who begins to act to get the Trio their journals and also to speak to the Headmistress. Meanwhile, Neville and Luna brood together.
Oct 26: Some things seem to settle back to normal and average concerns return to Hogwarts, however students are still shaken by recent events.
Oct 27 - 29: The Daily Prophet reports expected changes and changes already made by the new Minister of Magic. Meanwhile, Ginny has figured out a way to get the Trio their journals. Students also begin to notice that Snape has gone missing. Amid relationship problems and a flurry of hormonal activity at Hogwarts (and the fallout of such activity) the DA attempts to make sense of the current situation, as does Draco. Hufflepuff's, however, take to flying.
Oct 30: Narcissa tries to get information out of Lucius. At Hogwarts, after the DA has been made aware of Snape's betrayal, members begin to respond.

Remember that these recaps are for the game as a whole. If I've left out something, it just means I missed it, so please let me know. If you're interested in just the metaplot aspects there is a reference here that will chart just those things that happen to affect the overarching plots of the game.
