As much as her mother insisted that she wouldn't be cross about situations like that, Tonks was sure that that wouldn't have been the case if she'd gone to her parents to begin with. "I was never not going to tell you," she said. "I just wanted to do it on my own time. If the thing with Remus hadn't happened, I would've told you in person. It just didn't happen like that."
She sighed. "Yeah, me too," she said. The most important part of the conversations she and Remus had had over the past week were his involvement in the baby's life, and Tonks didn't care what it took; she would do everything in her power to make sure that happened, for both the baby and Remus's sake.
