Who: Alfie and OPEN to any Hufflepuff
What: Alfie is not doing his homework.
Where: Hufflepuff Common Room
When: Tonight
Rating/Warning: TBA

It was bad enough that he wasn't doing his own homework. Sure, Alfie was used to that - no one, not even his parents and definitely not his teachers, expected him to stay on top of his school work past doing well enough not to be held back - but he was doing someone's, and that was even worse. He was doing Goyle's Potions work, again. He hated Potions - or he had until last year, when Slughorn took over. Now it wasn't terrifying, like it had been with Snape, but it was still all above his head, and doing Goyle's work, who was a year ahead of him, gave him a raging headache and made him want to chuck the whole thing into the common room fire.

He settled on balling it up and shoving it all into his satchel, glaring at the fire that he couldn't feed.

Felix was rather relieved to be entering the Hufflepuff common room. He'd been in the library again, and so far he had yet to feel as comfortable in there as he had before. Having finished a rough draft of his essay, he felt that was suitable enough, at least until tomorrow.

Upon stepping over the threshold he gave a cursory glance around the room, and blue gray eyes paused on Alfie just in time to see him shove something into his satchel and glare into the fire. Felix suffered from a bout of indecision as he shifted his weight and then with a sigh of exasperation at himself made his way over. It didn't keep a small note of uncertainty from his voice though as he asked, "Everything alright?"

Alfie's eyes snapped up from the fire to his dormmate, and sighed - whatever anger that had been there fading out, because he wasn't the sort to take it out on someone else, especially a mate.

"Fine," he grumbled, then shrugged. "Just homework. You know I'm rubbish." He was also a pretty bad liar, but that was beside the point. "Where were you?"

"You aren't rubbish," he said reassuringly, perching on the edge of one of the comfortable seats, his book and rumpled parchment sitting in his lap. "Erm.. I was in the library." It almost held a questioning tone, as if he wasn't sure if he was supposed to have been somewhere else.

"Anything I can help with?" he asked.

"Nah, I'll get to it later..." Alfie was still grumbling, but at the mention of the library an eyebrow arched a little. "You didn't see Julien Dorny in there, did you?" He figured the reason he'd been missing him was because he was holed away in the library.

Felix frowned slightly, trying to remember if he'd seen the sixth year Ravenclaw. "He could have been, I didn't notice if he was though." He'd kind of went in there with his head down and making the least noise possible. "If I see him, I'll tell him you're looking for him, yeah?"

"Thanks," Alfie said, shruggin, and ten he settled back and kicked a little at his bag, just so he didn't have to look at it again. "So, how've you been? We haven't talked as much this year, yeah? I feel like that with all the blokes." Except Julien.
