Kevin quickly surveyed the haul Felix had produced. Not a fan of Ice Mice, he snagged a couple of the chocolates and pocketed all but one. Unwrapping the foil from what purported to be a Christmas tree, Kevin eyed the confection warily, wondering if it was going to start singing O Tannenbaum or blink brightly. Seeing no reaction, he popped the chocolate into his mouth, holding his breath that no physical change would overtake him.
"They like you to ask questions, though," Kevin said around a mouthful of chocolate. "Transfigs, especially," he added, thinking of his long conversations following the class, which didn't always stay on-topic.
Setting the quill (which his Runes professor required) and parchment out, Kevin started to pore over his textbook again, dutifully copying the notes about Egyptian and Nubian heiroglyphics. He concentrated for just a moment before allowing himself another distration.
