A new child that was within some circle which included the Weasleys seemed to make that child family. If Charlie had a mate in Romania and they had a child, they were family. From a very early age, taking care of others was ingrained in every single one of the seven children.
"She wasn't really mine, but I did take care of her a few times. Since she's so old, they wanted her in the hands of only the best dragon keepers, which they don't think I am," he said with a bit of a laugh. Charlie was very good at his job, but there were others far more experienced and far better at it than he was. He was reminded that they started the same way he did: from the bottom. The job was not glamorous, was very dangerous, and kept him on his toes. Though he missed it, he tried not to dwell on what he did not haveāit was a waste of energy and time to wish he was someplace else.
Charlie simply listened to Tonks, letting a few moments pass before he spoke. "Your feelings will change, and so will your reality. Once your son is born, Tonks, you will never be alone. Your mind will change a hundred times, my mum's did and she was in a house full of screaming children, and she probably did feel alone at times. I really can't help you much since, well, I'm obviously not a mother..."
