Including one who'd snogged his father and inadvertently ruined her relationship with Remus, but that wasn't something she associated with George. It had happened. Remus had made his choice, and more importantly, as far as she knew, he had turned her into the other woman while seeing Sirius.
With all of the extra weight Tonks was carrying, she overheated quickly, so the cold weather was pleasant so long as she had mittens. "Did you? That's brilliant. Congratulations." She'd never quite understood his fascination with dragons, but his enthusiasm was contagious. "Do you name the dragons?"
She shook her head. "Don't apologise, I'm happy you're happy." One of them deserved to be. She ducked her head to try to hide her frown. "Thanks. I appreciate it, Charlie, but it seems like I'll be doing this on my own. I'm okay with that. It isn't ideal, but maybe--" Maybe things would eventually get better. She didn't dare hope Remus would change his mind, but she would do everything she could to make sure her son had the best life she could give him.
