Charlie furrowed his brow a bit, thinking of how to properly respond to her. He was not sure if Tonks' comment about being a role model was meant as to say she was open about her life or if she was putting herself down. "You're only a role model if you want to be, Tonks. Just because you're here, in the Order, and in a vulnerable spot does not mean you always have to wear a cape. Dumbledore would not want us acting as though we were flawless and can beat anything thrown at us. I think you're strong enough to break this, Tonks, but it's all right if you can't do it. No one can do what you're doing by themselves."
Nothing Charlie said to Tonks was really new, nor did he think she had not already heard that speech a hundred times. What it all meant coming from him he could hardly guess, but he wanted it to mean something. As infrequent as his letters back and forth to Tonks seemed, she had always been a good friend of his.
"Come on, let's walk. That's why we came down here, isn't it?" he asked, starting off on no direction in particular. "You have love and support, Tonks," he said casually. Brooding over her situation was not going to help and he did not want to bring his good mood down too much by getting sucked in too deep. This was not his battle, but he was going to be there for Tonks and support her—and he was not going to allow his opinion of Remus to change much at all.
The one thing that had crossed his mind, especially after seeing Ginny earlier that day, shuffled its way to his thoughts once more. What is going on with everyone? I have absolutely no idea why my friends and family have been doing and acting this way, but it seems... so unlikely... for all of them.
