Charlie seemed to be the one person not pressing Tonks to talk about it, and she appreciated that more than she could say. It was nice to just walk and relax with him and not have to worry about all of the drama or the war, even though it hung over them like a cloud. It hung over everyone though, and they were hardly exceptions to the rule.
"I always wanted to take it," she said. "Care of Magical Creatures. It would've been a much better option than Divination. Utterly useless, that." As they started down the slope, she set her hand on his shoulder just in case, though for now she managed to keep her footing. "Transfiguration's going well enough. Most of my students seem to be listening to me rather than busying themselves with gossip, but I suppose in my situation, it's unavoidable. In the end, it's their marks that will suffer, not me."
Her lips formed a thin line, and she pulled her eyes from the ground long enough to glance at Charlie. "I talked to Minerva. She's letting me keep the baby here while I finish up the year. She said she was worried about the safety factor, but I figure if parents all over the United Kingdom can trust their children's lives to us in the middle of wartime, I can trust mine as well."
