If Kira could feel guilty then she probably would have been feeling it tonight after her conversation with Estella over the journal. After all she’d definitely been neglecting everything that wasn’t work and she and Estella had been friends for quite some time. And while work was all well and good, she definitely didn’t socialize with the people she worked with. She’d been asked by some of her coworkers in the past to go out with them here and there, but they quickly learned that she wouldn’t accept. They also quickly learned that she had a vicious streak and took too much joy in her rather messy work and that deterred them from asking her along as well. Estella was one of the few people that she could actually be around that she didn’t feel the need to try to annoy or gross out in some way.
So, despite the fact it was already late, Kira wrapped up her day rather early (by her standards). She finished what she had to and apparated home, making certain she took a thorough shower before getting ready. She certainly didn’t want to go to Estella’s covered in filth from her work day. Once freshly showered she redressed in more casual clothing and left, apparating to where her friend lived. She wrapped firmly on the door and waited for it to be opened.
