He was going to say how this was freaking him out, and when he thought too much about this, about why McGonagall felt this was important, he got scared. It was much easier to pretend none of this was affecting him before the holidays. But then the decrees started, and then he found out about Lucy's background, and suddenly things had gotten so bad the Headmistress thought training a practical militia was the only choice left. In essence, he couldn't ignore this anymore, and he didn't like feeling afraid about what was happening.
"Hm." Nikolas looked at Lucy, where she seemed to be standing uselessly on the other side of the room. "Do you want to sit over here?" He patted the cushion next to him. "It's comfy."
