Melinda nodded. Their mothers did seem to like to plan these things together. New robes from the South of France did sound lovely. "I wouldn't be surprised, either, though I certainly wouldn't complain."
She might seem to be indulging in a little more small talk, but there was a point to her next question. "Did you see a lot of Draco over the holidays?" she asked, phrasing it like an idle inquiry, polite curiosity in her tone and expression.
