"Hey," he replied, setting his journal away next to his bed and unfolding his legs a bit as Alfie sat down on his bed. He knew that Alfie was worried, and he had a good reason to be too - not that Baz thought something bad would happen to Alfie or his family, just that he thought they all had a lot to worry about. That didn't mean he couldn't offer a smile, though.
"I see you finally braved the long and torturous trail from your bed over to mine," he teased, nudging Alfie's leg with the side of his foot. "How are things?"
