Hestia Jones can charm the pants off of you. ([info]hastyhestia) wrote in [info]wished,

Who: Hestia Jones & Rabastan Lestrange
What: Interrupting some torture and Death Eater fun
Where: Dark alley in Diagon Alley
When: Nighttime, nearly midnight
Rating/Warnings: PG-13, perhaps

Hestia hadn't planned on spending the evening out. Although she had worked only one shift at the hospital, early morning rounds around the ward, she had felt the inexplicable need to stay in at her flat, put on her most comfortable sleeping clothes and lounge on her couch all day with a good book. Perhaps even some soup from the Leaky for dinner. They always did have the best in terms of broth-filled eats. So, instead of her planned book reading, Hestia had pulled on her warmest cloak and Apparated over to Diagon Alley.

She hadn't planned on spending the rest of the night there. Although, with the kind of crowd that the pub attracted, it was hard not to stick around and enjoy the night with a few friends. Of course, Hestia didn't exactly consider Mungdungus Fletcher a friend - but he was certainly entertaining.

And he had been entertaining the whole pub with a range of stories Hestia didn't think was very appropriate for the children who happened to be eating dinner. Nor did their parents find it very funny.

Hours later, and one of the last to leave, Hestia left Tom with a wave and headed out onto the deserted streets of Diagon Alley.
