Nikolas' mouth formed a tight line. Judging by McGonagall's tone, he decided it probably wouldn't be right to identify the person in question. He left the matter behind for the time being.
"I see. That makes sense."
It was a scary thought - when the Headmistress thought that things had gotten bad enough that she was taking such a drastic course of action. This would just be one more thing to Nikolas to worry about. On the other hand, it was something to do, instead of just sitting around waiting for the Ministry to make its next move. He'd have been happy to sit in complacency only two months ago, but now...
"I have to be honest with you, Professor. I think if you'd told me this a few months ago, I probably wouldn't have cared. But I don't like what's been going on. And, I guess, if this is what it's come to...I do want to help. If you think I should."
