Minerva could see that the girl had no idea why she was here - she would assume that each other student would come in in the same mind, that they'd done something. Perhaps they had, but that wasn't the reason for this meeting.
"Miss Capper," She said again, when the girl was sitting, and her tone was quieter. She had been a Head of House for a great long while, after all, before she was the Headmistress. Capper had been one of hers, no matter how much trouble the girl got into. "I'm sorry I hadn't called you up earlier. The news about your mother... I should have."
