Percy saw him, and stopped for a moment, pausing in the middle of the street as he watched his father gaze with a recognizable look of delight on his face. He raised a hand to call out his name, and hesitated for a moment before following through.
"Dad!" he said as he stepped closer as he anticipated his father's turn at his call. He approached him and waited, his hands hanging at his side, itching to reach out and hug his father as he hadn't for too many missed years.
"You made it. I apologize for being late, for rescheduling this. Work has been terrible," and Percy stopped, not sure how much he should say on the street openly, "Terribly busy," he added, knowing his words had an empty echo sound to them.
