"Exactly," he said as he shifted slightly, stretching his legs. This was exactly the kind of thing he liked talking about, and it was something he felt at ease discussing. Not that he considered himself any sort of authority (yet), but Nikolas knew it was something he'd grown up learning about and could hold his own in a discussion on. That, and he really loved it.
"It's something I miss about being home, sometimes," Nikolas admitted. He spoke slowly, because he was thinking very specifically about how different it was, being here at school, basically confined to one castle and the limited grounds around it. No wonder he felt so sick of it most of the time.
"We have a lot of animals, and they generally have free reign on the grounds. It's always so satisfying to watch them. Somehow it makes the time go by really quickly, though." For a moment he felt a bit homesick, and wondered what Astrid was up to.
