The drops of rain first hit her nose. Then, as she tilted her head toward the ceiling, the drops hit her full force. It seemed that with every moment Lucy stood where she was, the rain dropped harder. Her forehead creased in misunderstanding. She knew that fairly strange things happened within the walls of Hogwarts castle but in her six years as a student, it had never once rained inside the building.
She held her hands out as her sides, her palms up. She could feel the cool, wet drops attack her fingers. Thoroughly distracted by this strange occurrence, she jumped slightly at the sudden voice.
"It's raining," she said, too caught off guard to say anything different.
