It didn't take Hermione that long to go to the water and find him, she was bundled heavily - she'd risked putting mild warming charms onto their heavy coats when they'd found themselves back in the forest and laying low after their run in with the Death Eaters at Lovegood's home, since they'd decided they wouldn't move for a few days, at least, until things were quieter. So she was almost warm, with the coat and the wool hat, and she felt a little bit like a huge puffy bear as she sat down next to him. It was infuriating, sometimes, that she only felt that self-conscious around Ron.
"This isn't exactly a prize winning landscape, is it?" she asked, but she looked out over the frozen lake, and it was good enough, really. Better than the alternatives if things had gone differently at Lovegood's, at least.
