George was as good as his word. He picked up an assortment from the Thai place he and Fred liked best, and a bottle of firewhiskey and then showed up at Roger's door.

"Oi, Davies, open up!" George yelled, kicking at the door with one foot, since his hands were presently full. Roger being hurt was really just a convenient excuse to flee the shop and not think about the Potterwatch shite he'd been working on with Lee for weeks, or the new shop, or what Percy was doing or where Ron was or any of the other crap he'd had to juggle lately. Plus making Davies cranky was always fun. Although it probably would be a bit too easy with him nursing a broken arm. (And possibly a broken head, though George was guessing on that one.)

"Hurry up, or I'm leaving and taking the food!" he added, balancing the large bag precariously in one arm.

Roger's mother had come for a visit earlier that day, having brought some lovely Muggle pain relievers that she put more faith in than any potion she had received from a Healer. She had warned him against taking too many and taking any with alcohol, so by the time George showed up, Roger was quite cranky as there was nothing buffering him from the painful throbbing in his arm. He had chosen alcohol over taking another pill and he was starting to think it had been the wrong decision.

They had regrown the shattered bones, which in itself had been a painful process, and since it hadn't been the first time he had broken that particular bone, it hadn't been a fun time in the least. There was some worry that he might be facing nerve damage from the way his fingers weren't quite working right, but they could only wait to see how his arm was in a month's time.

"Could you be any less patient? I've seen five years olds in Diagon Alley with more patience than you," Roger grumbled, opening the door. His arm had been in a sling earlier, as a precaution, but it had been discarded because it had been a pain to work around it. His arm hung limply by his side now. George received no other greeting before Roger was plucking the bottle out of his good hand and turning back to head into the living room. He had been sitting in front of his television, watching Diagnosis Murder on BBC, before George had shown up. His journal laid discarded on the coffee table, as it had been abandoned in favour of watching the team solve another murder mystery.

"Make yourself at home," he added, before he started fiddling with getting the firewhiskey open. As tempting as the Thai food smelled, he needed to get drunk now.

George wrinkled his nose at Roger as the bottle was plucked away. "Bloody hell, you're a cranky bastard when you've fallen on your head. You could at least manage a 'hullo, George, thanks for bringing me food and booze'," he complained.

He stepped in, swapping the bag into both arms before he carried it over to drop it down on the coffee table next to Roger's journal. Or rather on top of it. It was the journal's fault for being in the way. Besides, a little stray Thai-food-grease wouldn't hurt it. Just make it greasy.

He eyed Roger speculatively. "You look like shite," he announced. "I mean, you're barely even good looking these days. It's sad. I don't think it's all because you flew into a goalpost while trying to stare at your reflection in a mirror, either. Probably." He dropped down next to Roger. "Shouldn't you have something?" he asked. He gestured toward Roger's arm, trying to make a "sling" gesture, but it really came out more "crazy octopus arm" than anything else. Pantomime wasn't one of George's many and impressive skills.

He peered at the telly. "What's this?" George and Fred had a telly, but they'd broken it two days after they got it when they'd tried to see if they could charm it to display them instead of whatever was on the channels. And then the insides had exploded. They used it to set things on, now. So he didn't actually follow many shows or know what any of them were.

	"I am not pillow fighting with you unless you do it properly and go put on a nightie," George told Roger. But he was laughing, and it only took him a second to try to grab and take the pillow away. Though he was nice enough to try not to jostle the cripple. It wasn't going to save him a pillow thumping though! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Why are you so eager to see me in a nightie? Something you need to share with the rest of us, Mr. Weasley?" Roger questioned, reaching for the bottle of firewhiskey that had been temporarily forgotten. He took a swig of it, in hopes that George decided to spare him a thumping out of fear that he may spill the firewhiskey, if not it was wrong to a cripple. (Reply to this) (Parent)
