Percy pause, "No, I want something just for Penny's family, Merlin forbid if they come through. I just...," and he paused, looking down as he searched for the right words, "I owe her. She's, well, you guys know. Even if we are just friends, she's too important to me to let something horrible happen to her or the people she loves."
Percy finished his beer, and then looked from one brother to another, "I'll do it. Of course I'll do it. And anything else you two can brew up. You'll let the Order know, yes? I'm not sure if I can join. I don't think Da would believe it of me, hell, none of them would trust me," he added with a bit of sour note to his response.
Percy paused and turned his back to his brothers, looking for an excuse for them not to be able to see the conflicting expression on his face. He moved to check the pizzas, feeling dejected and a bit of a fool. He'd spent so much time, shoving what he thought as the exacting, perfect righteousness of his decisions into his family's face and now he was realizing that perhaps, it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. He wasn't sure he was ready to crawl back to his dad and beg his forgiveness, but he still felt like an utter shit; he doubted that his family would trust him much after their recent flawed history.
He stayed where he was for a moment, trying to still his expressions, and he turned back to them, ready to face the twins' harsh criticism.
