She let out a breath she hadn't known she was holidng as he told her that he wasn't sorry for kissing her - if he had have been, she would have been sorely tempted to demand a proper and further explanation that that. And her brain frankly could barely manage her own name let alone anything more complex that required thinking.
Leaning forward, she scooped the whisky bottle off the floor and set it on the sideboard, pushing it back so it no longer clung to the edge. At his next words, she arched an eyebrow even as she blushed some more. What exactly did you say to that? She'd never been given a report afer a kiss before. And whilst it was nice to know that she hadn't developed a talent for kissing similar to the way a horse eats an apple, she still wasn't sure what to say in return. Would there be marks out of ten? A graded score that took into account the mean and median?
"I..ah you too. Good. I mean." Before the conversation could turn any more bizzare - something Penny didn't want to stick around to witness - she used the armrests of the chair to push herself up into a standing position and with as much dignity as she could muster made her way toward the doory. "I should get some pillows and stuff."
The linen closet was wonderfully cool - and she still loved the fact that she was grown up to live in a place with its very own linen cupboard - and she scooped up duvet, sheets and pillow cases and shams for the settee.
"Theres plenty here," she announced as she walked back into the lounge "I didn't know what you wanted so I brought well, a lot."
Sometime between the linen cupboard and the living room door, she had managed to formulate a plan: the most important thing was to get Orsino asleep on the couch, and to fall into her own bed and definatly Not Think about Anything. At All.
And between those two things, she had to slip a note under Olivers door asking him not to hex the unknown man sleeping on his sofa.
Simple. She could do simple and she could do plans. "Well, ah, you know where the kitchen is and the bathrooms third door on the left." She began to absenmindedly rub her elbow as she talked, unaware that she was fidgeting "Is there anything else?"
