Greg was so distracted by Theo's last words that he almost missed what he had asked.
"What? Well, yeah I was awake. How do you think I got into here?" Greg asked, confused at what Theo had said and the question, "Of course I was awake. You sort of scared the shit out of me, truth be told," and he paused, removing his hand even as he felt this incredible ache to do more.
"I better go," he said he started to move to get out of the bed, but he paused, this time very much awake he faced Theo.
"Why couldn't you talk to me? I mean, why didn't we talk about....," and Greg's courage to ask Theo directly left him as he lay there. He'd been so utteryl disappointed, after his visit to Theo at the Nott house, and he was quite certain that Theo had put what had happened between them down to poor judgment or a fluke.
"I had wanted to ask you about that night before the train ride home...," and again he hesitated, "You don't want to talk about....," he muttered, and he moved to get out of the bed, flipping the blankets off of him to be struck by the chill of the room.
