It helped, helped more than Julien would have expected it to actually, and Julien gave back as good as he got, tried to at least, tried to make things better for Alfie the way Alfie was trying to make things better for him. He pressed close and allowed Alfie to regain some control in some part of his life, control over this kiss and over him.
