11:49pm. The lights in a suburban neighborhood of Hendon began to flicker. One by one they started to switch off, sending the neighborhood into a two block wide black out. At this hour hardly anyone noticed except those few night owls still lingering in front of their tellys. A loud crack signaled one single soul apparating into desolate neighborhood. Black cloak pulled closely around the figure's head, dark eyes glittered against the pale moon as this person slowly stalked down the street. While the apparation still lingered in the air, the figure moved swiftly and quietly. Stopping at the drive way to a specific home, hood was pushed down to reveal the raven-haired Death Eater. Alone on the street, a low growl began to boil in her throat, as a sign swayed gently in the light summer breeze. A hand lifted to snatch the "FOR SALE" sign off the post, reading it carefully, eyes rolled slightly. "Bloody brilliant." Absentmindedly dropping the sign on the ground, it clattered in the darkness, echoing down the empty street. Hands slipped back into the folds of her cloak, as she stalked up the walkway. Gaze narrowing on the front door, as fingers curled around eight inch wand hidden beneath her cloak. Despite her short, and stout size, Alecto Carrow moved with a prowess like a lion stalking its prey. Each step was fluid, confident and precise. Mind was all ready racing with numerous possibilities about what could be lying on the other side of the door. While her obvious insanity was her weakness it was also her strength. Allowing her mind to rapidly flash through every single possible scenario, by the time she reached the doorstep she had no apprehension. Wand lifted, and with a loud CRASH! the door exploded, leaving shards of wood hanging off the hinges. A low hiss came from the woman as she stood in the doorway. The house was quiet, too quiet, and it seemed completely empty. Wand at the ready, she stepped into the house, ears tuned to the slightest of noises. Stepping into the kitchen, she found it just as empty as the rest of the house. Whistling obnoxiously, she began pulling out drawers and tossing them across the room, allowing them to shatter against the floor. Kicking over the refrigerator, electrical cords went flying every which way, as her wand pointed to the faucet the knobs turning on their own as the water came pouring from the spout. One big sweep of her wand brought all the knobs spinning, and water GUSHING from the faucets, making sure to flood all the sinks, and tubs. All the doors slammed off their hinges, cracking, and shattering against the walls as Alecto stalked through the upper floor. This was frustrating, the Dark Lord chose her for this mission, and now her victims weren't anywhere to be found. Descending the stairs, she stepped out onto the front steps. A final wave of her wand sent all the windows exploding, and shattering within the house, leaving the home in ruins. Alecto was mad. No, mad wasn't even HALF of how she felt. Alecto was furious, she was beyond furious. SOMEONE had to pay for this, even if it wasn't the victims she was sent after. Stalking across the lawn, she began to ring the doorbell of the neighbors next door. Power returned to the neighborhood, as the people could be heard within the home moving towards the door. Instantly, like someone turned off a switch on the woman, Alecto loss the furious facial expressions, and pulled a pleasant smile on her lips. Wand remained hidden beneath her cloak as the front porch light flicked on, and a man - no older than 30 peeked through the window to see who was ringing his doorbell. A bittersweet smile curled on the woman's lips, as she waved timidly towards the man. The sound of bolts, and locks could be heard on the other side of the door as the man finally stood in the entrance way in his pajamas. "Yes? Can I help you?" The man said rather sleepily, as a woman could be seen wrapping a bathrobe around her thin body. Hair in a nightcap, she craned her neck to see who was standing in her doorway. "I'm terribly sorry to bother you, sir. A thousand apologies, but you see I was curious about your neighbors. The Grangers? Are they home? They're home seems to be in a horrible disarray, and it has me rather concerned. You wouldn't happen to know where they have gone off to, do you?" Feigning an innocent smile, Alecto's head tilted to the side as she put on her best sweet and innocent act that she could muster up. The man pulled a pair of glasses out from the breast pocket on his pajamas, and pushed them up the bridge of his nose before sticking his head out the door to look at the house next door. Shaking his head slowly, he looked back at Alecto. "Sorry, dear, that house has been unoccupied for some time now, and I can't for the life of me remember who the neighbors were, and where they said they were moving to." There was an instant flicker in Alecto's gaze as she studied the man for a moment, that sweet smile faded, as her lips curled into a disgusted sneer. "Filthy, dirty, disgusting muggles." Stepping closer to the doorway, the man looked at Alecto, no longer with sympathy, but now with an incredulous look. "Ex-- Excuse me? EXCUSE ME, MISS!" The man began to shout as Alecto bullied her way into the threshold. "No, no, filthy muggle, there is no more room for excuses!" "Now see here! You can't---" "Oh, but I think I will." Glancing at the wife, the woman gave a horrified look to Alecto before opening her mouth like she was about to scream. Sadly, she wasn't even able to have a single sound fall from her lips before the flashing green light expelled from Alecto's wand and the woman tumbled down the rest of the stairs, and laid in a lifeless heap. The man stared in both awe, and horror at Alecto as he slowly began to back up down the hallway, refusing to take his eyes off this violent woman. Lips curled into a maddening grin as she took steps closer to the man. "Wh--What do you want?! Please, just take anything you want! My wallet is upstairs. Help yourself to anything... please. Oh sweet Jesus, please don't kill me." Stopping in her tracks, Alecto pulled that sweet and innocent face on once more, as her head tilted to the side. Pressing her wand to her cheek, she pursed her lips innocently. "Who me? Kill you?!" Giggling rather childishly, that innocent smile darkened once more, as her wand pointed at the man. "Silly, silly muggle." Leaning down, a hand laced into his hair, and pulled his head back sharply. "Please --- please, I don't know what you want. Take anything, bloody hell take it all." A quiet whimper came from the corner where two children attempted to stay invisible as possible. The older child was attempting to shield her younger brother from the view from the torturing of her husband. "Children? How lovely." The smirk never faltered as she beckoned towards the two children to come closer. Timidly, and sobbing the two children stumbled to their feet and took slow and cautious steps towards the woman. "NO! Don't you lay a fucking finger on them." The children froze as the man in her grasp began to swing at Alecto. A low hiss came from Alecto as she flicked her wand at the man and shouted "CRUCIO!!" Stepping up to the man as he writhed on the ground, a foot pressed down on his hand forcing him to remain still as the pain coursed through his veins. The children instantly began to sob, not knowing what was going on, as the curse began to wear off, the man laid on the floor, twitching and trying to catch his breath. "Please, I'm begging you, take whatever you want..." "Oh, don't worry, muggle, I'll take everything I want. Starting with their lives." Rising to her feet, she allowed the man to writhe in pain, as Alecto descended upon the children who retreated back to the corner. Wand poised in her hand she aimed it at the youngest child first. A loud cry, and a bright flash of green ended child's life, and then one more shout of the unforgivable curse ended the older child's life. Turning to the man who was still sobbing on the floor, now not only tortured by the cruciatus curse but also from witnessing his wife and two children's death. Screaming, Alecto pressed her foot to the man's neck to make him gag. "What -- what do you want from me?! What did I do? What did we do?!" That wheezy giggle came from the woman again, as a certain flicker came from the beady eyes of Alecto. "Do? Hmm..." A thoughtful look came over her, as she tapped her wand to her chin. "You know, I can't really think of anything you have done to me, aside from not having answers for me. Though, being a muggle is just enough..." Snickering, a wand pointed to him. "I would say I am sorry, but well..." A sly smirk curled on her lips, as she could feel the spell surging through her fingers tips. "I'm not." The man's eyes widened in fear, as Alecto's gaze locked with him, making sure to let him know she wasn't scared of looking her victim in the eyes. "AVADA KEDAVRA!!!" With that final unforgivable curse still lingering on her lips, she couldn't help but allow a loud cackling laugh escape her lips. Four muggles laid lifeless before her, and she could help but laugh. The feeling that was coursing through her body was a mixture of satisfaction, and relief. While she didn't exactly do what the Dark Lord asked of her, she managed to release all her pent up anger and frustration. Apparating from where she stood, Alecto left the crime scene as it was. Leave the muggles to ponder over what happened this evening. More than likely, they would need to make up some sort of story to compensate for the lack of evidence that Alecto left in her wake. A few foot prints, and bruises on the man's wrists, and neck. Even the cause of death was going to be a mystery. Alecto knew exactly what went wrong tonight. That filthy mud-blood Granger moved her family from that home, and wiped the minds of the neighbors. While she couldn't prove it, Alecto knew more than ever that was happened. One thing was for sure, this night did NOT go as planned, but there was no denying that it was NOT a disappointment. |
