Re: 11:00 Train leaving
Greg had boarded the train, just in time, and moved down the aisle, looking for an empty compartment that he could camp out in and call his own. He had been seen off by one of his brothers; his da been too busy to bother it seemed, as there was some DE meeting of some sort he was required to attend. The parting had not been sad, but Greg was more than a bit peeved. He'd planned to go into Diagon Alley, and meet up with people from his house (or at least see if they were about.)
It had been a decent holiday, except for the odd visit with Theo, and Greg was looking forward to the normalcy of school. That decree about the Muggleborn had only made him smile smugly when he'd read it in the paper, and he figured the school halls would be far emptier when he returned, the cowards staying at home and not showing their noses.
Greg was in a sour mood in general, and felt a bit like working off some of his irritation. He hoped he'd see Millicent, so he could bend her ear and get some advice. He hoped he'd see Draco, so he could find out about the holiday with AStoria. And secretly, Greg hoped he'd see Theo on the train and have a chance to get the boy off on his own and find out what the bloody hell was wrong with him. That entire visit had been....vague and disconcerting. Greg knew how to play games; that didn't mean he was very skilled at them. And it was like one damn rat maze at the Nott house, of propriety and form and rules. He'd been more than a bit relieved when he'd left, but the rush to get back to school had royally fucked up his plans for the rest of his break. He was certain Theo was going to come over, and that whole thing went down the bloody toilet.
So, Greg was feeling caged and cranky, and looking for a friend to vent with, or a foe to beat. Either would have relieved his emotional stress.
