He was relaxed in his tone, and kept his eyes on her face, his full attention on her and not on the items in her lap. She was pretty, even in this hospital wing, and he wondered where her friends were, to come and visit her. It was not good to be too alone in a hospital wing; it gave one far too much time to brood.
