Orsino's brow creased when Penny insisted on paying - he certainly had more than enough money to throw around, and he'd only payed for the food she hadn't initially agreed to. Still, he knew enough by now to realize he'd wind up in a debate of some kind, and he really wasn't in the mood for another one. The near-argument over the CD had been enough. Maybe he'd figure this out later, and so smiled and thanked the waitress.
He had to chuckled at Penny's statement about women throwing themselves at him, and the band in general. That was certainly true, and had provided for quite a few memorable occasions, especially in the band's early days. In more recent times, though, the novelty had worn off some and Orsino usually just found it a bit...well, annoying, and sometimes even pitiful.
He tried to be respectful of and grateful to fans, and avoid the crazier ones, but it wasn't always an easy task. There were a lot of very pretty young women out there, and very creepy ones. And most of them tended not to expect anything long term out of a Weird Sister, which generally undermined the broken hearts.
"Maybe," he said tentatively. "I don't like to date fans, though. They're usually interested in it for the wrong reasons. As you can imagine."
