Wearing her favorite red coat, the hood up and covering nearly half of her face, Lucy did her best to keep her shopping bags in tow. She had spent nearly the majority of her morning with Su. While it was a bit tiring, roaming from store to store, she seemed to get everything on her shopping list taken care of. She just knew that her father, brother and grandmother were going to adore everything she picked up for them. Even if, perhaps, they didn't understand it very well.
Tugging at the white gloves on her hands, Lucy gingerly stepped across the path. She could see Nikolas leaning against the window of Dervish and Banges. A small smile tugged at her lips as she approached the boy. Although she didn't want to admit it, she was rather happy that Nikolas had asked her to hang out. It was nice spending time with him. Although they hadn't been so close, they seemed to be spending much more time together.
And that was nice. But that was all it was. Or so Lucy rationalized.
"Hey there," she greeted as she got close enough to him.
