Who: Harry, Hermione, and then Ron
What: Explosions!
Where: Forest of Dean
When: Today
Rating/Warning: TBA

Hermione had noticed it was easier when whoever had the locket went away for a bit - a walk, or something. Close enough to be heard but far enough away that some of the effects lessened. She'd found a very nice place in a grove of trees that she liked to go to, and Harry seemed to favor the lake. She wasn't sure exactly where Ron went, but he was there now, and she didn't feel the need - after the blow up he'd had over Viktor - to try to figure it out.

Instead she stayed inside the tent, which they'd hazarded a warming charm in, at the small table - pouring, again, over the translation of the book Dumbledore had given her. She was well out of ideas, so she hoped it held some clues.

Obviously Harry wasn't hurt too badly, Hermione took a moment to feel the joint a bit, making sure it didn't feel as if he'd broken his finger - though she wasn't entirely sure what that would feel like at the touch. She assumed that Harry would scream or something to let her know if it hurt too badly, though, and he didn't.

She was distracted from her rudimentary exam of Harry's hand, though, when Ron appeared, storming in to the tent. This time, Hermione had absolutely no idea what it was that had him spitting at them and furiously stomping through the tent.

"Ron?" She asked, against her better judgment, and it wondering what the hell it was he was on about this time she forgot, for a moment, to let go of Harry's hand.

Harry hissed a little as she poked, but it didn't hurt enough to be broken or anything. Just stung a little. "It's FINE," he repeated testily.

He looked up as Ron entered. Harry honestly had no idea what Ron had his knickers in twist over this time. He'd bashed his hand, Hermione was poking at it. And Ron decided to get brassed about that/

Sod him, anyway.

"Yeah well, you were. As usual," Harry answered. Which made no sense, since they hadn't been doing anything to interrupt, but Harry just blurted it anyway. Hermione still had his hand in hers, and Harry shot her a look, but didn't bother to jerk it away.

"Just pretend I'm not here, then," Ron shot back, bristling as he tugged off his jacket and let it fall on his bedding. "You've gotten pretty damned good at that." Now, for instance - when he turned to glare over his shoulder, they were still holding hands, as though there were no reason at all to stop. And maybe there wasn't.

Harry was the one who'd gone through so much, after all, who was supposed to know something about what they were doing here. Was it any wonder Hermione couldn't stop worrying over him? And of course he didn't show any signs of admitting that maybe they'd gone down the wrong path, no matter that he clearly had no bloody clue what they were doing. "Might as well not be at all, for all the good we're doing."

"Oh, there's a perfect attitude," Hermione snapped, finally dropping Harry's hand to follow Ron as he fell into his bed. She stood in the doorway, glaring. "What happened to you tonight? Get hungry? Honestly, Ron, we can't go on like this if we're yelling at one another every five minutes. How are we supposed to go on as if anyone's here when all we're doing is yelling and stomping off to sulk?" That she was yelling as she asked this didn't quite strike her as ironic at the moment.
