"I would be sad," she agreed solemnly. "I would cry and cry and cry. I would not get naked, however. I would be far too devastated for such a thing."
She grinned, then, mostly kidding, though there was truth in the idea that she would be devastated if anything happened to him. They were only joking around, though, and Katie was stubbornly refusing to think about the possibility that anything could happen to him or to any of her other close friends. It might be unlikely that any of them could get through the warn they'd found themselves in the middle of unscathed, but it wasn't something she liked to think about. Ever.
"Damn right, she can!" Katie was eager to agree with that plan, because it meant she was going to get to spend some time with George. That was definitely a plus.
"You've clearly been working too hard, George," she teased him. "I feel like I haven't seen you in an age or two."
