"Susy, mummy and daddy are leaving!" Mrs Bones voice echoed through the halls of the house. Stepping out of her room, she descended the stairs to the living room, a pleasant smile curled on the girl's lips.
"Have a safe trip, mum." Susan wrapped her arms around her mother in a warm embrace, as she looked over her mothers shoulder towards her father who was readying the floo for their departure. "Don't be silly, Su, we'll be back later tonight. We're not going to be gone forever." Susan's smile faltered for a moment, as she looked sheepishly down at her hands. Susan wasn't really thinking about that, but now that her mother mentioned it; it could be a possibility.
Her father noticed the change in her smile, and patted her shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry, love, we'll be extra careful." While Susan wasn't as close to her father as she was with her mother, it was moments like those that made her grateful for having such a strong, and stoic father like him. That smile brightened greatly, as she looked up at both of them. "All right, then. Go! Or you'll be late! Look it's all ready five minutes past!"
Mrs Bones looked over at the mantle clock and gasped, stepping into the fireplace along with Mr. Bones, she grabbed some powder and threw it down, shouting their destination as well. In a wave of bright flames, they vanished from the fireplace. Glancing over at the clock again, Susan shook her head, and headed back up to her room. She was expecting Hermione in twenty-five minutes. While the girl didn't really know what Hermione would be looking for, she kept her mind open for anything.
Picking up a duster from a shelf, she headed down the hallway towards the hatch that released the ladder to climb up to the attic. Just enough time to do some busy work, like dusting out some of the books that she inherited. Susan wasn't quite sure how Hermione was going to travel to her house, there were so many options. It was only a matter of time before she would find out, though.
