He wasn't really sure how he was supposed to react. Flattered, first of all. And perhaps slightly amused. She was very candid about it, and Nikolas had to admire her ambition. If he didn't have this already lined up and waiting for him, he wondered how he'd be feeling as he graduated without any real plan. Lucy didn't seem bothered by the fact that she wasn't sure - actually, she seemed positively excited by the opportunity to test the waters by traveling the world.

Automatically, Nikolas smiled again and he tried to imagine Lucy seeking a job from his mother. Well, if Lucy was still as smart as she seemed to be now, he figured she had a good chance wherever she went. "That's...well, actually, that sounds brilliant. Especially the traveling bit. I'm sort of looking forward to that myself. It'd be sort of funny if you wound up working for my mum. But you know, eventually, you'd be working for me."
