Wayne smirked. "Well, your intentions were good... The execution was a bit flawed, though." It was a bad joke, but making inappropriate jokes was one of his specialties. He shook his head and sighed.
"I was more worried about you for being over on the other side of the classroom. It's not like you, Jonesie. I know this thing with your mum and dad is hitting you hard, and I'd be just as worried if you just tried to brush it off." He sat back in his seat. "You're supposed to be in a sour mood. And we all understand why. And I, for one, am trying to be here for you if you need me. That's what best mates do, yeah?"
