Viktor paused, "When I don't what? Prescribe to their rigid way of thinking? I had hopes to help with Quidditch. I am not ready to give up that hope. Besides, now..," and Viktor paused, "Now I have more of a reason to stay and try to help," and he leaned forward, "Help those three. If I leave, I am a coward. If I stay, I can use my eyes and perhaps find out something that can help protect them from harm."
Viktor didn't say anything as Fred (who he thought was George) talked about being a blood traitor, "If you are one, then I guess I am as well. So, you keep good company, George Weasley."
Viktor stopped, surprised at his words. He had not thought of himself as that. Hermione was Muggleborn, which at his school was not acceptable, but he'd been out of school for a bit. In the real world, ability was measured by what one could do, not where one was born. He was lucky, he knew, to have worked in Quidditch for so long. The broom was very equalizing.
