ooc; hope you don't mind Alecto getting in on this?!
12 Grimmauld Place was so utterly boring. On top of how tedious the house could be, Alecto was restless. After the chaos that reigned over the Ministry, she has been craving more action. It had been days, months, years.... she stopped counting, since she actually felt this powerful and in control. It was like a high, racing through her veins and begging to released in the worse way possible. She craved more with each minute that ticked away, and at this point she was becoming desperate.
Desperate enough to torture the little vermin that crawled around the dark corners of this old home. Batting around her house elf was fun and dandy, but in the end, the sniveling beast would whimper and sob and run away crying. She wanted something more. After finding a rat in the closet of her room, she took to exterminating the vermin problem in the house. Nagini was eating well the past week as each rat, squirrel, bat, tiny creature that Alecto found was fed to the massive snake that belonged to her Lord and Master.
That's what brought the woman up to the floor right below the attic level. Chasing a rather fat looking rat she had it corner, wand at the ready when she heard the creaking of hinges and light footsteps above her. Ears perked, and the woman remained perfectly still keeping her ears tuned to the sound above her. The rat took this pause as a chance to scurry away. Swishing her wand, a bright hue of blue came arcing through the dimly lit corridor, and froze the creature in place. "I'll get back to you..." She hissed at the vermin before taking the stairs up to the attic.
Her feet against the staircase was as quiet as a.... mouse. Barely making a noise, dark gaze became acclimated to the darkness of the stairs quickly and she managed to ascend them soundlessly, and without light. Reaching the top of the stairs, Alecto glanced around the level. It was dusty, and empty, like no one had been up here for quite some time. Crimson painted lips curled into a disgusted sneer as she made her way to the room with a dim glow about.
Peering into the room, Alecto watched as Severus tore a picture in half and slipped one half into his pocket. A finely sculpted brow arched as his actions were certainly curious. Moving into the doorway, the woman leaned against the door frame, waving her wand like she was pointing, her voice rang through the quiet room. "Snooping, Severus? Honestly, he's dead, I don't think you have to worry about being caught." Cruel? Definitely. Brutally honest and heartless. Alecto was never good at being kind when it came to being sympathetic.
