"It was, considering Daphne's temperament. To be honest, I always thought it would be me they'd try it on. I'm usually the quieter one and there's been a time or two they mistook that for meaning I was more biddable. Daphne's smart. She can make her own choices, and good choices at that. I thought, for a while, I'd just go along with it, depending on who they chose. But they're being... unusually stubborn on this and now I'm... worried, a little, I guess." She shrugged. "If I have to follow expectations, I'd rather do it on my own terms. Not that that isn't ages away. I'd just...." She shrugged. "I don't know. Daydreams, mostly." She gave him a thoughtful look, penetrating, as if trying to see inside him.
"There are easier choices to make then a Malfoy, you know. Especially you." Her lips quirked slightly. "Then again, maybe I just figure if I'm going to choose, I'll go for the best."
