This was all just a bit ironic in Daphne's eyes, both of them were trying to escape the same thing, which involved them both. Daphne had to snicker at the circumstances lying out between them, though, the timing for her snicker was a bit off considering it seemed like she was laughing at his comment about the House elves and food.
Kicking out her feet, she crossed them as her ankles and fixed her skirt over her legs, "We must seem so utterly pathetic, look at us..." Hands waved between the two of them, as another smirk curled on her lips, "Sitting on the bloody rooftop of a tower, drinking... and more then likely drinking for the same bloody reasons."
Throwing up her hands in disgust and defeat, Daphne watched as Nikolas took a seat beside her. Lifting the bottle to her lips once more to took a nice long sip before placing the bottle back in her lap. This felt odd in her mind, and whatever sober part of her was left, was telling her to get up with whatever dignity she had left and go back to the common room. However, the more intoxicated part of her brain told her to just stay where she was, not to bother getting up, because she would end up on the floor sooner or later. Besides, the feeling like she was sitting on clouds was far more enjoyable then getting up and feeling like she is walking on a boat out at stormy seas.
At the sound of the bottle tapping on the floor, Daphne rolled her head to the side as well, brown strands of hair falling in her blue gaze, but completely ignored as she looked at Nikolas, her own smirk curling across her lips and mirror his. "Well, I'm not going anywhere," She stated matter of factly, her gaze followed to watch as he pulled out some candy. "I think it would be highly suspicious if I went down there smelling like..." Voice trailed off as she looked down at the bottle in her lap, lifting it up she turned it to read the label, "Ogden's Firewhiskey." Which was true, though, she was almost positive her classmates were likely wondering where she was anyways.
