OPEN THREAD!!!

What: shopping for school things
Where: Diagon Alley, of course!

You wouldn't know it to look at her, but Vicky was worried. She lived in the Muggle world and she could see the things going on there for what they were, knowing what she knew about the magical one. To her friends and family back home, they were just freak accidents, random acts of nature, but Vicky knew better. She'd heard the stories from before. You-Know-Who was back and He was behind this. It freaked her out a little bit.

As was Vicky,s nature, though, she covered up her fears nicely by making light of other things - talking about Quidditch calendars and school coming up, making jokes where she could and acting as though everything was normal. What choice did she really have? It wasn't like she could do anything about what was going on and she refused to live her live cowering in a corner, afraid that she or her family would become the next victim.

Right now, she was distracting herself with school shopping. There was less than a month left before she would be back at Hogwarts and she was in desperate need of new things! She stopped at Gringotts first, of course - Vicky didn't keep wizarding money on her at home during the summers - and then she was off to get fitted for new robes before buying the books she would need for this term. She wasn't big on the studying, but she definitely liked the shopping part of going back to school!
