Hannah had a fairly hefty assignment to complete for Astrology and it was one of her worst subjects. She had spent a good half hour up at the Astronomy tower trying to chart the stars in four of "her favourite constellations" - according to Sinistra - but couldn't for the life of her get them right. She'd checked out a few books at the library and found that both sage and mallowsweet helped to refine stargazing, so of course she was going to try it.
Grabbing a scarf, coat, and mittens she hurried out onto the grounds to get a bit of each of the plants listed in her book from the Herbology greenhouses. It was cold out now and she loved it. Fall and winter were her two favourite seasons, mostly because it gave you an excuse to drink apple cider and not look funny. With her hands jammed in her pockets she walked briskly across the lawn. Not expecting anyone to be shouting at her she jumped at the sound of a voice and stopped walking.
Looking over her shoulder she couldn't see anyone behind her, but just to her left there was another student. She hadn't recognized the voice - as they'd only said "Hey!" - but it was obvious it was a boy. Shrugging further into her coat she lifted a hand in greeting, "Hello!" She was unsure of how to ask who it was without sounding like a complete dolt. After a few moments of contemplation she decided it was impossible so went all in and decided she didn't care. At least not too much. "It's Hannah Abbott, who are you?" she called across the lawn, making her way toward him.
