Padma shot a last look at the tree. She'd have to do SOMETHING about it. Report what happened. She usually gave it such a wide berth that she barely noticed it. But now that she was looking, it seemed. . . much wider than normal. Overgrown, maybe? She wondered why no one had thought to look after it and keep it manageable.
All of that was less important than getting Demelza looked after though. She nodded. "Alright. . . I'm sorry if this hurts. I'll do my best." She cast a petrifying charm, and then levitated the other girl, moving slowly so she didn't jostle her, or drop her, or knock into anything.
The two of them earned more than a few stares on the way, but finally Padma got Demelza into the Hospital Wing, and onto a bed. She ended the charms as Pomfrey bustled over, and was told to keep an eye on Demelza as Pomfrey went to gather the proper potions.
Padma hovered dutifully. "Do you. . . want some water or anything?" she asked uncertainly.
