"Oh," Audrey doubled up her steps to catch up to Sam, then matched the other girl's pace. "I see," she nudged Sam's side with her elbow and smiled ahead of them. "You think I'm boring."
She pulled an affronted face and danced ahead of Sam, turning around to face the other girl. "I'll have you know that I am loads of fun." She grinned and stumbled back over a tree root, windmilling her arms to keep herself upright. Steadying herself and blushing furiously, she settled herself back beside Sam, realising the other girl flustered her so that she didn't have the coordination to walk backwards. "Loads." She muttered, stuffing her hands in her pockets and hoping that the flush burning her cheeks would fade.
