Astoria came downstairs from her dorm room, humming under her breath, having just finished the last of her homework and been dface with the delightful prospect of half of an evening off to read whatever she wanted- which happened to be the newest Wizarding romance novel by her favorite author. They were a guilty pleasure of hers, and one she didn't usually bandy about. It took more effort then it was worth to explain why she liked reading the corny things.
She blinked when she saw Draco by the fire, curl of excited nerves fluttering in her belly. He was so handsome and he'd been exceptionally nice to her this year. More importantly, he hadn't been seen as much with Pansy and even if Astoria was well aware the chances of him taking a more then passing interest in her due to his association with her sister were...well, less then slim, she had enjoyed the rare chances she had got to actually talk to him. He was interesting and there was more to him then most people bothered to find out, and that was rare to her these days.
"Hello Draco," she said quietly. Her gaze went to his arms, seeing the bandages. She had heard the rumors that he'd been hurt in some sort of Potions accident. She found it hard to believe, Draco was very good at Potions. She didn't want to ask intrusive questions though. "Are you feeling better?"
