Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:fergus o'rourke, mandy brocklehurst

Who: Fergus and OPEN!
When: Tonight
Where: Club Underground
What: He's bored and buying drinks.
Rating: TBA
Open/Closed: Open to anyone!

Fergus was two drinks in at the bar of the club, but he was nursing them slowly. He figured if anyone read his journal entry and wanted to take him up on it, he should be sober for the event. He also didn't really figure anyone would take him up on it - but it wasn't like he was waiting about, either. He talked with one of the bartenders about the last Quidditch matches for a bit, and danced a bit, and over all even without someone specific to try his charms on, it was a pretty decent way to end the weekend.

Mandy couldn't really deal with things at the moment. She just didn't know how to handle the things going on - disappearances and mates getting married and it felt like everyone was getting together with someone but her, which was a really lonely feeling. With all of that, going out seemed like a grand idea.

She vaguely remembered Fergus, even though they'd been four years apart, and when she spotted him, she grinned as she made her way over. "Hey, stranger," she greeted him, flashing him a smile. She didn't know if he'd remember her, but she figured that could be fun, too.

Fergus didn't really have a plan for the night if no one came by, so as nice as hanging out and talking quidditch with the bar man was, he'd been thinking about leaving when she came up beside him.

He remembered her. It took him a few minutes, staring at her carefully and trying to pull the memory up - it had a lot of years and drinks to be pulled through, after all - but then he grinned, tipping his pint to her. "Mandy, right?" He knew he was right, he was dead good about names. "Buy you a drink?"

Mandy grinned again, pleased and impressed that he remembered her. There had been a few years between them, after all, and she hadn't seen him since Hogwarts. She wouldn't have blamed him if he'd had no clue who she was.

"Yeah, Mandy." She smiled and nodded her head at his offer. "A drink would be grand," she said.

He'd always had a way with names and faces - particularly of pretty girls, though he got the feeling she was too young for him to have really noticed in school. Still, she wasn't too young anymore, and he grinned and waved her to the stool beside his, waving the bartender back over too. "What's your pleasure, love?"

"A Shandy, please," she answered him after some brief deliberation. She'd thought about just ordering some ale, but she enjoyed the drink and it sounded pretty good actually.

"What are you up to these days, Fergus?" she asked him conversationally once her order had been placed.

Shandies were, to Fergus, a sacrilege. Ruining good lager that way. But it was a girlish sort of alternative to a straight pint, too, and he let her have that without complaint, ordering his own refill, then turning to flash her a smile. "Oh, managing the Kwik Repair? You know it?"
