Slipping off the counter, Verity slipped an arm casually through Fred's. "How about the Hog's Head?" She gave his arm a squeeze, then dropped it to grab her jacket. The days were still sunny, but September nights had a bite to them. "I've got the keys to an empty flat I'm thinking of renting if the new place goes well."
It took her a few moments to work her way up to the next question. She hadn't really talked to Fred about the new line George had propositioned her about.
