Zacharias still was slightly concerned that Merlin might not show up at all. He knew by now how skittish the younger man could be. He was like a rabbit, and Zacharias was trying to approach him, hand outstretched, steps quiet and calm, but all the while worried that he would just dart off at any moment.
When the knock came, he grinned to himself, relieved, and went to answer. Smiling again as he answered it.
"Hello, Merlin," he greeted, gesturing him inside and closing the door behind him. He leaned in and brushed a kiss to his cheek, but didn't do anything more than that.
