Oh, holy Helga. The gentle kiss to her cheek brought a deep shade of crimson across her cheeks and across her nose. Her breath caught in her throat as she looked up at him before quickly looking down at the box he held out for her. Eyes widened in shock, as she took the box from him, "Marcus, you didn't have to do that. The earrings were more than ---" Her voice trailed off as she opened the box just to be rendered speechless by its contents.
Gasping, fingers traced over the necklace. "Oh." Was all she could say initially. She was feeling spoiled, and a little guilty that she didn't get him anything. Emerald earrings and now this?
"It's brilliant, Marcus!" Green eyes finally tore away from the necklace to look up at him, "Thank you so much." A bright smile curled on her lips, as she stood on her tip toes to press a very light kiss against his cheek. "You really didn't have to get me anything." Was she upset? Merlin, no. Surprised? Beyond belief. Marcus Flint was surprising her left and right, and she really couldn't complain.
