"Sure thing," he manages, though really he wants to ask if she'll stay, just a bit longer so they can look at the stars. Something else keeps him from saying much more and it's not because he is shy or nervous.
She says her goodbye and he lifts a hand to wave as she walks away but when the hand falls back into his lap the eyes trained upon it are as black as coal. He stands and apparates away.
