She smiled a sad sort of smile and shook her head. "There's no one I want to snog," she tried to explain. It was sort of hard to talk to Alfie about this, these were girl things, she wasn't sure he'd ever want to know about them, but at the same time, it felt good to talk to him. He seemed just as bemused as her about the whole thing. And she wasn't going to lie, it felt good to be told there was nothing wrong with her, rather than having to try and convince someone else there was nothing wrong with them.
"That's the thing, Alfie," she continued. "I don't think there's anyone I'm interested in." She glanced around them, making sure they were alone. "Does Evie make you feel all funny? Like funny in a good way? All happy and giggly?"
